Abstract:

To provide an iridium complex, and a luminescent material and an organic EL element each including the same.

There is disclosed a substituted phenylpyridine iridium complex represented by formula (1) (in the formula, R¹ to R⁴ represent a group each independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, and a 1C-4C straight chain or branched alkyl group; R⁵ to R⁷ represent a group each independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, a 1C-4C straight chain or branched alkyl group, a 1C-4C straight chain or branched alkoxy group, and fluorine; P_y represents a group selected from the group consisting of a 3-pyridyl group and a 4-pyridyl group each represented by a specific formula respectively; and R⁸ to R¹⁵ represent a group each independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, and a 1C-4C straight chain or branched alkyl group).
