NEW MATERIAL: A substd. pyridopyrimidine derive. represented by formula I [A is a pyridyl ring; R1 and R2 are H, 1-4C alkyl or -(CH2)nAr; n is 0-4; Ar is phenyl or R1 and R2 combined together with N to which they are bonded to form a saturated or unsaturated ring capable of further containing at least a heteroatom; R3 and R4 are each H, 1-4C alkyl or (CH2)nAr1; Ar1 is phenyl or R3 and R4 are combined along with N to which they are bonded to form the ring menteoned above with respect to R1 and R2 and R5 is H or 1-4C alkyl] and its salt.
EXAMPLE: 2,4-bis(N-methylphenylamino)pyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidine.
USE: This new material is useful as a remedy of gastrointestical disorders and effective, for example, for a gastric ulcer, a duodenal ulcer or gastritis.
PROCESS: For example, a compd. represented by formula II (X is an amine substitutable group) is reacted with an amine represented by formula III to obtain the compd. represented by formula I.
