Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate with a color filter formed therein to be used in a display unit configured to include a frame part formed on the entire periphery of a display region, in which a base surface of the substrate with the color filter is disposed outside (on an observer side) and reflection of external light can be suppressed to give a good appearance while a power source is turned off.SOLUTION: The substrate with a color filter formed therein has a layered structure in a frame part or in a frame part and a light-shielding part for segmenting a pixel, the layered structure comprising, from one surface side of a base material, a reflection suppressing layer comprising a resin composition and a black light-shielding layer comprising a resin composition. A refractive index nof the base material, a real part nin a complex refractive index of the reflection suppressing layer, a real part nin a complex refractive index of the light-shielding layer have such relationships that in a wavelength region from 505 nm to 605 m centering at 555 nm where a luminous factor in a bright place is high, an absolute value of a difference between the refractive index nand the refractive index nis smaller than an absolute value of a difference between the refractive index nand the refractive index n. The reflection suppressing layer consists of an opaque resin layer having absorptivity for light in the above wavelength region from 505 nm to 605 nm.
