Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the subject new compound useful as particles for light control element of particle disperse type light control element.
CONSTITUTION: A compound expressed by formula I (R1 is 2-18C alkyl or alkynyl; R2 is ethyl, ethyl monohalide, ethyl dihalide, monohydroxylated ethyl or ethylene) e.g. O-propyldihydrocuprene. The compound expressed by formula I is e.g. obtained by reacting cupreine or dihydrocupreine expressed by formula II with a phenolic hydroxyl group and alkyl halide in the presence of an alkali.
