To solve the problem of a difficulty in cleaning the leg bottoms of chairs or the like in the conventional vacuum cleaners.

An adjustable opening part is provided at the upper part of the suction part (nozzle part) of the vacuum cleaner to be kept closed during the cleaning of the floors and is opened for the cleaning of the leg bottoms of the chairs or the like. The chairs are inclined to bring the opening part of the nozzle closer to the leg bottoms so that the dust is sucked easily and removed. After the end of the cleaning of the leg bottoms, the suction part (nozzle) can keep the opening part closed. In the suction part (nozzle), a reflection member such as a mirror is mounted at the upper part thereof of the vacuum cleaner to enable the checking of the presence of the dust on the leg bottoms.
