Title:
SUGAR-CONTAINING AQUEOUS RESIN DISPERSION AND ITS PRODUCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH09202803
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To obtain a new sugar-containing aqueous resin dispersion having emulsion stability, being extremely small in the resultant resin particle diameter and excellent in water resistance to film and antifogging resistance.

This sugar-containing aqueous resin dispersion is obtained by carrying out emulsion polymerization of a radically polymerizable ethylenic monomer with a radically polymerizable glycoside in the presence of a reactive emulsifier. The method for producing a sugar-containing aqueous resin dispersion comprises dropping a mixture containing a radically polymerizable ethylenic monomer, a radically polymerizable glycoside, reactive emulsifier and water into a mixture of water with a radically polymerizable ethylenic monomer, a radically polymerizable glycoside and a reactive emulsifier and carrying out radical polymerization of these compounds by an organic polymerization initiator.
