Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prepare a sulfidization-resisting silver alloy by providing a composition which is composed principally of specific percentage of Ag and Pt and to which one or more elements among specific percentage of Pd, Au, Zn, In, Sn, Ir, Mg, Ga, Ru, and Cu are added.

CONSTITUTION: The silver alloy principally composed of, by weight, 90W95% Ag and 0.2W9% Pt and also consisting of at least 1 or ≥2 kinds among 0.2W9% Pd, 0.2W4% Au, 0.1W5% Zn, 0.2W9% In, 0.1W5% Sn, 0.1W3% Ir, 0.1W3% Mg, 0.1W3% Ga, 0.1W3% Ru, and 0.1W4% Cu and inevitable impurities is prepared. This silver alloy is excellent in sulfidization resistance, so that it can widely be used for outer ornaments for watches, portable ornaments, etc.
