Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the subject compound which has excellent heat stability and is useful for a bleaching agent, an oxidizing agent or a disinfectant.
CONSTITUTION: This is a compound of formula I, which is exampled by 2-[1,1,3- trioxo-3H-X6-benz-[d]isothiazol-2-yl]peracetic acid, is obtained by allowing a sulfimiedocarboxylic acid ester of formula V to react at 5-60°C with an oxidizing mixture of hydrogen peroxide and a strong acid (e.g. sulfuric acid). In the formula I, A is the formulae II, III, IV, etc.; ((n) is 0, 1, 2; R1 is H, F, Cl, Br, a 1-20C alkyl, 2-20C alkenyl, etc.; R2 is H, F, Cl, SO3M, etc.; M is H, an alkali metal, ammonium ion, etc.); X is a 1-19C alkylene, ortho-, meta-, or para-arylene.
