Title:
SULFONAMIDE DERIVATIVE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2001026506
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To obtain an agricultural and horticultural microbiocide useful as a controlling agent for blast, or the like, of rice plants by including a specific safe sulfonamide derivative having microbiocidal actions, slight influences on mammals, natural enemies and environments and excellent controlling effects even on chemical-resistant microorganisms.

This agricultural and horticultural microbiocide is obtained by including a compound represented by the formula (A1 is an aryl or a heterocyclic ring; X1 is a chemical bond, methylene or vinylene; B1 is a five-membered heterocyclic ring or a condensed heterocyclic ring; Z1 is a hydrocarbon, an acyl, or the like) or its salt. The compound is obtained by reacting a sulfonylating agent represented by the formula A1-X1-SO2-L (L is an eliminable group) with amines represented by the formula Z1HN-B1 or salts thereof. The resultant compound is preferably uniformly mixed with a suitable liquid carrier or a suitable solid carrier, as necessary, various additives, and the like, to provide a microbiocidal composition, which is then applied to a paddy field, an upland, or the like, by, e.g. treatment of nursery boxes or foliar spraying on crops so as to provide 0.3-3,000 g of the compound represented by the formula or its salt per hectare.
