To provide a sun tracking device which is easily fitted and can detect the sun over a wide range and speedily track it.
Optical sensors S1 to S4 are arranged on the internal bottom surface 40 of a cylinder part 21a to provide a narrow-range sun detecting means, optical sensors S5 to S8 are arranged on a lower flange 45 provided on the outer peripheral surface of the cylinder part 21a in parallel across a gap to provide a wide-range sun detecting means, and further a direct arrival optical sensor S9 is arranged on the bottom surface 48 of a recessed part 47 formed in the center of the internal bottom surface 40 to provide a direct arrival optical sensor part. The sun tracking device is constituted by providing the sun tracking sensor 21 which is thus formed and a driving part and a control part for tracking based upon the output of the sun tracking sensor 21.
