Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sunflower oil high in heat stability.SOLUTION: There is provided a sunflower oil having saturated aliphatic acid (palmitic acid and stearic acid) content of 15 to 45% of all aliphatic acid, oleic acid content of 45 to 75% of all aliphatic acid and total content of gamma-tocopherol and delta-tocopherol of more than 85% of all tocopherol. It is obtained from sunflower seeds having the same and sunflower plant producing seeds having the same as a result of self-pollinating. It can be used for foods, animal feeds, and blending of bio lubricants and bio fuels.SELECTED DRAWING: None
