To suppress the damage of a compressor caused by corrosion and fouling by forming the compressor and a turbine into a mixed flow type respectively, and forming an impeller of the compressor of stainless steel having good sulfalic acid corrosion resistance, in a supercharger for exhaust gas recirculation performed by connecting the outlet side of the turbine and the inlet side of the compressor to each other.
An exhaust gas recirculating device 1 consists of an exhaust gas recirculating supercharger 3 and an EGR pipe 5, and the supercharger 3 consists of a turbine 7 connected to an exhaust system 6 and a compressor 8 connected to an intake system 4. In this case, the compressor 8 is formed as a mixed flow type compressor formed in such a constitution that each fluid flows from the axial direction of an impeller toward the slant direction, and the impeller of the compressor 8 is formed of stainless steel having a good sulfalic acid corrosion resistance. A waste gate valve 13 is interposed on a bypass, pipe 12 for connecting the inlet 10 side to the outlet 11 side of the turbine 7, an intercooler 16 is arranged between the compressor 8 and a diesel engine 2, and thereby, an oxygen quantity per unit capacity is increased.
