Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supercharger that prevents deposits in a link chamber and also prevents decrease of efficiency on supercharge.SOLUTION: A supercharger 1 comprises a nozzle vane 60, and a link mechanism 70 connected to the nozzle vane 60. The supercharger 1 further comprises a housing 10 including a scroll chamber 130 having the nozzle vane 60 arranged, and having a passage area reduced from the upstream part to the downstream side of the flow of the exhaust gas in a scroll direction, and a link chamber 140 arranged with the link mechanism 70. The supercharger 1 comprises a communication passage 200. The communication passage 200 causes the scroll chamber 130 and the link chamber 140 to communicate with each other. A first opening 201 as an opening in the communication passage 200 on the side of the scroll chamber 130 is larger in a passage area than a second opening 202 as an opening on the side of the link chamber 140 in the communication passage 200.
