Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a superconducting base transistor which improves quasi-particle transmittivity.
CONSTITUTION: The title superconducting base transistor consists of a collector region 11 composed of semiconductor; a first insulating layer 10 formed on the collector region 1; a base region 2, composed of superconductor, formed on the first insulating layer 10; a second insulating layer 11 formed on the base region 2; and an emitter region 4, composed of super-conductor, formed on the second insulating layer. A quantum well is formed in the base region 2 between the first and second insulating layers 10 and 11.
