Abstract:
To provide a magnetization method for a superconducting bulk, for forming a highly even magnetic field.SOLUTION: A magnetization method for a superconducting bulk comprises: a magnetic field application step in which a magnetic field in which a magnetic field in an inner-periphery space of a superconducting bulk is even is applied to the superconducting bulk at a temperature T1 higher than a superconductive transition temperature Tc of the superconducting bulk cylindrically formed from second type superconductor; a magnetic field cooling step in which, while a magnetic field is applied to the superconducting bulk, the superconducting bulk is cooled up to a magnetizing temperature T2 lower than the superconductive transition temperature Tc; a demagnetization step in which, while the temperature of the superconducting bulk is maintained at the magnetizing temperature T2, the magnetic field applied to the superconducting bulk is removed; a temperature adjustment step in which the temperature of the superconducting bulk is adjusted to the adjusting temperature T3 not higher than the magnetizing temperature T2; and a post-magnetization cooling step in which the temperature of the superconducting bulk is cooled up to a using temperature T4 lower than the adjusting temperature T3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
