Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superconducting coil cooling device for cooling a superconducting coil of a rotor without using a coolant and in the state where a general refrigerator (that is not a rotatable special refrigerator) including a capability for cooling the superconducting coil is fixed outside.SOLUTION: The superconducting coil cooling device includes: a first vacuum container 11 in which superconducting coils 4 are capsulated and of which the inside is in a vacuum state; a second vacuum container 12 that is fixed outside of a rotary machine; a connector 17 that is mounted through a mounting plate 16 to a cold head 15 that is fixed inside of the second vacuum container 12; a joint shaft 13 which is partially inserted into the second vacuum container 12 in a freely rotatable state and of which the end face is in contact with the connector 17; a heat transfer shaft that is fitted at an inner diameter side of the joint shaft 13; and a heat transfer part 18 for cooling that is interposed between the heat transfer shaft 13 and the superconducting coils 4. The mounting plate 16, the connector 17, the heat transfer shaft 13 and the heat transfer part 18 for cooling are formed from heat conductors.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
