Abstract:
To provide a superconducting coil of a pancake structure which is available for an axial gap type rotary machine while maintaining a shape of the superconducting coil, and a rotary machine employing the same.SOLUTION: A coil 13a of a pancake structure comprises: a belt-like conductor member 131a which is wound in such a manner that a width direction is along an axial direction so as to form the pancake structure; a restriction member 4a which restricts the wound belt-like conductor member 131a in a lamination direction in the wound belt-like conductor member 131a; first and second electrodes 5a-1 and 5a-2 each mounted in both ends of the wound belt-like conductor member 131a; and first and second electric wires 6a-1 and 6a-2 mounted to the first and second electrodes 5a-1 and 5a-2 so as to extend in a circumferential direction in the wound belt-like conductor member 131a. The conductor member 131a is a superconducting wire material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
