Title:
SUPERCONDUCTING CURRENT LEAD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3181345
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide an oxide superconductor-based current lead which can provide the highly reliable current conducting function all the time, by reinforcement under the state wherein thermal insulating property is imparted.
CONSTITUTION: This lead comprises an oxide-superconducting lead main body 1 for current conduction and reinforcing bodies 2a, 2b and 2C, which are separately 3 arranged as a unitary body along the approximately entire length so that the reinforcing bodies are partially overlapped in the axial direction of the oxide-superconducting lead main body for current conduction. Namely the very hard reinforcing bodies (e.g. wires or ribbons) 2a, 2b, 2c and the like are embedded under the state, wherein the reinforcing bodies are partially overlapped along the appropriately entire length of the axial direction in the oxide-superconducting lead main body 1 for current conduction. The reinforcing bodies are mutually separated 3 so as to have thermal utility (substantially discontinuous). Or the reinforcing bodies are arranged on the outer surface part as a unitary body. Thus, the required heat insulation is achieved. The oxide superconductive lead 4 for current conduction is strengthened mechanically and thermally.
