Title:
SUPERCONDUCTING ELEMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04206667
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To easily control a superconducting current by forming an element having an oxide superconductor layer and a low order conductor layer in a 3-terminal structure, cooling it to a predetermined temperature or lower, and applying a bias voltage. CONSTITUTION:A superconducting element has an oxide single crystalline substrate 3, oxide superconductor layers 1a, 1b formed at a predetermined interval thereon, and a low order conductor layer 2 formed of molybdenum bronze, etc., between both the layers on the substrate 3. Terminals 4, 5 are respectively provided at the layers 1a, 1b, and a terminal 6 is provided at the layer 2. A bias voltage is applied to the terminal 6 by using a charge density wave obtained by cooling the layer 2 to a predetermined temperature or lower to control a superconducting current between the terminals 4 and 5. Such a 3-terminal structure is able to easily form a control circuit.
