Abstract:

To provide a flexible oxide superconductive cable having fewer AC loss.

A tape-shaped superconductive wire covered with a stabilizing metal is wound around a flexible former 13. It is preferable that the superconductive wire is arranged on the former so as to make bending distortion not exceed 0.2%. When preparing the superconductive wire on the former, a first layer is formed by making a plurality of tape-shaped superconductive wires arrange on a core material in parallel. A second layer is formed by making the designated number of tape-shaped superconductive wires arrange on the first layer in parallel. The former can be manufactured from a metal, plastics, reinforced plastics, polymer, or a composite, and the former prepares flexibility on the superconductive wire and the cable.
