Abstract:
To provide an ultrasonic motor capable of obtaining high output, even if the drive voltage of the ultrasonic motor is lowered, and to attain high drive efficiency.
A piezoelectric element 2 constituting a vibrator 3 of an ultrasonic motor is formed into a layered structure, where a piezoelectric material and a conductive body are layered in the thickness direction. The vibration of displacement obtained by adding the displacement generated at respective piezoelectric material layers can be given to the piezoelectric body 2. As a result, since large displacements can be obtained with low applied voltage, the drive efficiency is improved.
