PURPOSE: To eliminate the necessity of changing over a size indicating means by automatically indicating the size of a sheet material which is housed in the loading in the title for a copier or the like, while one of the device proper and either one of a laterally regulating plate or a rear edge direction regulating plate, with a paper sheet size indicating means, and also providing the other one with an indicating panel.

CONSTITUTION: An indicating needle 111 is attached to a rear edge position regulating plate 4. Consequently, when a cassette proper 1 is loaded with paper sheets 3 and the rear edge positions of the paper sheets 3 are regulated by the rear edge position regulating plate 4, the indicating needle 111 moves to a position corresponding to the size of the paper sheets 3. On the other hand, a paper sheet size indicating panel 112 is attached to the cassette proper 1 in its position corresponding to the indicating needle 111 so as to indicate the size of the paper sheets 3 ranging from B5 to A3, in such a way as the position of the tip portion 111a of the indicating needle 111 shows the size of the paper sheets 3.
