To provide a support device for die spotting in an electric servo press where whether die matching in an electric servo press is suitable or not can be easily judged.

The support device for die spotting in an electric servo press is provided with a servo motor 9 for die spotting connected to an arithmetic and control unit 4 and rotated by hand control. The arithmetic and control unit 4 outputs a command pulse based on a detecting pulse inputted from an encoder of the servo motor 9 for die spotting to a servo motor 2 for driving when the servo motor 9 for die spotting is rotated by hand control, and further, controls the torque of the servo motor 9 for die spotting in such a manner that repulsion torque proportional to the driving current value of the servo motor 2 for driving is generated in the servo motor 9 for die spotting.
