This stay support device 11 has such a scheme that, in a heald frame anti-shaking device 1 for a loom having a guide face 7 provided on a heald frame 2 so as to extend along the direction of driving the heald frame 2, a guide body 8 forming a guide face 9 standing against the guide face 7, and stays 10, 10a, 10b extending throughout the weave width of a loom, supported at both ends upon both side frames 3 of the loom and support the guide body 8 in such a condition that the guide face 9 is made to stand against the guide face 7, at least a part of these stays 10, 10a, 10b along the weave direction is set up so as to be retreatable in such a condition as to be supported on the side frames 3.
