Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce the same signals as input bit streams at an original packet arrival interval for packet data through the buffer memory of small capacity by synchronizing the change of the value of a time stamp and the position of a track on a recording medium and recording and reproducing the time stamp and the packet data.
SOLUTION: The time stamp whose value is changed synchronizing with clocks for arrival time management outputted from a PLL(phase locked loop) 4 is generated by counters 5 and 6, added to the packet data in a recording time stamp adding circuit 3 and inputted to a processor 9. A rotary drum 10 is synchronously rotated synchronizing with the clocks for the arrival time management. The processor 9 outputs the time stamp and the packet data to a rotary head within a range between a reference position on the track corresponding to the arrival time of the packet data and a prescribed position at the back of the reference position in the arrival order of the packet data and records them along with a track number for respective six tracks synchronized with the clocks for time management on the track on a magnetic tape.
