PURPOSE: To damp the vibration of an air bag device in the bolt diameter direction when a vehicle is run on a rough road by supporting the air bag device assembled on a moving plate together with a pad cover on a steering wheel main body with a bolt, a spring and a vibration-proof material such as rubber.
CONSTITUTION: An air bag device C assembled to a steering wheel A is mainly constituted of an inflator 21 storing a sensor and a bag main body 22 expanded by the gas sprayed from the inflator 21, and it is assembled to the fitting section 17a of a moving plate 17 integrally with a pad cover 24 on a base plate 23 with a nut 25 and a bolt 26. A pan 31 and a vibration-proof material 32 made of an elastic material such as rubber are assembled between the head section 12b of the bolt 12 and the moving plate 17. The vibration-proof material 32 is formed into a cylindrical shape and assembled to the shaft section 12a of the bolt 12 together with the pan 31, and the moving plate 17 is supported on a fixed plate 13 while it is energized toward the head section 12b of the bolt 12 by a compression coil spring 16.
