PURPOSE: To eliminate a siftener by supporting a differential to output a drive force from a drive force transmission device to wheels on both sides to the outside of an engine and the outside of the power transmission device.
CONSTITUTION: A power unit 10 for a four-wheel drive car mounted to the front part of a vehicle is provided with an engine 11, a clutch 12, a manual transmission 13, a transfer 14, and a front differential 15. The differential 15 is arranged to the left lower part of an engine body 11a and in the rear of an oil pan 11b, and an extension housing 15b formed integrally with a differential body 15a is extended laterally in a position under the oil pan 11b. The differential body 15a is supported to the outer lower part of the engine body 11a at the upper part of a carrier cover through a first bracket 17a and supported directly to a boss part 12a mounted on the outer lower part of the clutch 12 at the rear end part of a differential carrier.
