Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an assistance system for a person requiring care, and a method for assisting a person requiring care, whereby behavioral and psychological symptoms can be appropriately improved without pharmacotherapy. [Solution] The present invention provides an assistance system for a person requiring care, for assisting a person requiring care who has developed behavioral and psychological symptoms, wherein the assistance system comprises a stimulation information storage means for storing stimulation information relating to stimulation of at least one sense from among the five senses of a person requiring care, a stimulation information providing means for providing stimulation information stored in the stimulation information storage means to the person requiring care, and a reaction sensing means for sensing a reaction of the person requiring care to stimulation by the stimulation information provided by a stimulation information imparting means, and the assistance system executing: a first step for providing first stimulation information for alleviating mental stress in the person requiring care, from among the stimulation information stored in the stimulation information storage means; a second step for providing arbitrary second stimulation information from among second stimulation information stored in the stimulation information storage means, on the basis of an attribute of the person requiring care, from among the stimulation information, and detecting an attribute of the second stimulation information reacted to by the person requiring care, from among the arbitrary second stimulation information provided; and a third step for providing, to the person requiring care, other second stimulation information having the same attribute as the attribute of the second stimulation information detected in the second step.
