Abstract:

To obtain a suppressing agent against caffeine excitation capable of suppressing caffeine excitation without deteriorating taste and flavor of caffeine-containing drinks and foods essentially.

In this suppressing agent against caffeine excitation containing teanin as an active component, the content of the teanin is specified as ≥2 times equivalents and ≤10 times equivalents based on a caffeine content in a food to be taken. The suppressing agent is preferably processed into a liquid, granules or powder and added to a drink or a food. However, it may be formulated into a tablet, a capsule, granules or a syrup and taken separately from the drink or the food.
