Abstract:
To provide an aerial stay type communication relay device capable of preventing deterioration of communication quality as a result by stably fixing a footprint of a cell while suppressing fluctuation of a directivity pattern caused by reflection on an antenna mounting member to which an antenna of a service link is mounted.SOLUTION: A communication relay device comprises: an antenna including a plurality of antenna elements forming a cell to perform a wireless communication of a service link with a terminal device; and an antenna mounting member to which the antenna is mounted. A layer of a radio wave absorber or a layer of a frequency selective electromagnetic shield member for selectively shielding a radio wave in a frequency of the service link is included on an outer surface exposed outside of the antenna mounting member. Phases and amplitudes of a plurality of transmission/reception signals to be transmitted/received via the plurality of antenna elements of the antenna may also be controlled so as to form an antenna directivity beam having a target beam width, a target horizontal angle and a target vertical angle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
