Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface acoustic wave apparatus, having a balanced- unbalanced conversion function and being superior in phase balance characteristics.
SOLUTION: In the apparatus, a first surface acoustic wave (SAW) filter 101, with a plurality of IDTs (Interdigital Transducers) provided along with the direction of SAW propagation and a second SAW filter 102 with IDTs 105'-107', are formed on a piezoelectric substrate. Input terminals of the first and second filters 101 and 102 are coupled electrically in common to a shared coupling point 110 and to an unbalanced signal terminal 112. The output terminals of the SAW filters 101 and 102 are respectively coupled to a first and a second balanced signal terminal 113 and 114, and a delay line 117 formed on the substrate is added between the coupling point 110 and the SAW filter 101.
