Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously irradiate a whole surface of a large amount of granules.
SOLUTION: Granules are dropped on a smoothing slant surface 12 laterally developed and a rotation is imparted to the granules by a rotation-imparting portion 16 having a concave/convex surface 18 provided near the slant surface terminate. The granules are introduced to a vertical drop portion 26 having a laterally slender irradiation window and any of electron beam, UV ray and X ray is horizontally irradiated from the irradiation window at the vertical drop portion.
