Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface light source device capable of keeping brightness constant before and after changing the directivity without increasing the number of components and manufacturing cost.SOLUTION: A surface light source device 1 includes a high-directivity light source part (a first light source part), a wide angle light source part (a second light source part) and a light guide body 3. Either one of the high-directivity light source part and the wide angle light source part has an angle distribution changing member for causing the angle distributions of light emitted from the light sources to be different from each other. The high-directivity light source part and the wide angle light source part are provided on one end face among a plurality of end faces of the light guide body 3, and the turning on/off of the high-directivity light source part and the wide angle light source part can be controlled independently of each other.
