To provide a surface material for a vehicle seat used in a seat cover of a car and excellent not only in antistatic function but also in touch, and a method for producing the same.
A skin material having antistatic function and mixed with conductive fibers and a fibrous wadding material 2 wherein a conductive web layer 2a is formed on a surface layer part by sprinkling a carbon emulsion are integrally bonded through a bonding layer 3 mixed with the carbon emulsion. This surface material is produced by sprinkling the carbon emulsion over the surface of the wadding material to form a conductive web layer on the surface layer part and forming a hot-melt adhesive layer on the surface of the web layer and laminating these layers to the skin material having antistatic function imparted by the mixing with the conductive fibers under pressure and passing hot air through the whole in a thickness direction to integrally bond the wadding material and the skin material and subsequently performing cold pressing so as to obtain a predetermined thickness.
