Abstract:
To provide a surface modification method and a manufacturing method of a sintered body, capable of modifying a surface of a sinter element body and manufacturing a sintered body excellent in appearance.SOLUTION: A surface modification method includes: a step of preparing a treatment object including a sinter element body containing a metal and an oxide and a reductant layer disposed on a surface of the sinter element body and containing a reductant for reducing the oxide; and a step of irradiating the treatment object with laser beams to reduce the oxide. Moreover, a constituent element of the reductant is preferably a carbon-based material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
