Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface modification method of a tube vulcanizate or a thermoplastic elastomer having at least a lubricant inner surface which is chemically fixed, but not a resin coating which has problems such as reduction of lubricity due to peeling or turning during movement in a tube.SOLUTION: There is provided a surface modification method targeting a tube vulcanizate or a thermoplastic elastomer, which may have an aperture in a side surface, as modification target, including a process 1 for forming a polymerization initiation point on at least an outside surface of the modification target and a process 2 for radiating UV light with 300 to 400 nm to the outside surface of the modification target to generate a radical from the polymerization initiation and radical polymerize a monomer and extending a polymer chain in at least an inside surface of the modification target.SELECTED DRAWING: None
