Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enhance dispersibility of a platelet pigment by mixing the pigment with a poly(meth)acrylate (water-soluble salt).
CONSTITUTION: If necessary, 1-100 wt.% of a plasticizer is added to a modifying reagent prepared by dissolving 5-80 wt.% of a poly(meth)acrylate (water-soluble salt) with a mol.wt. of 100-100000 in an aromatic org. solvent or water. This modifying reagent and a platelet pigment are mixed in a mixing container.
