Abstract:
To provide a surface-treated metallic material which does not accelerate the corrosion of a metallic material being a base material and has excellent organism adhesion resistance, and to provide a heat exchanger in which the surface-treated metallic material is used and a heat exchange method.
The surface-treated metallic material is used in a state that it contacts with water in which an organism is present, and includes the metallic material and a coating film which is formed on the surface of the metallic material and contains an alkoxide and/or a hydrolyzate thereof. The metallic species of the alkoxide is preferably at least one selected from the group consisting of titanium, zirconium, vanadium, niobium, aluminum, silicon, and tin.
