Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface treatment agent for metal which can improve the heat resistance and moisture resistance of a metal surface, and also improve adhesion between metal and resin.SOLUTION: A surface treatment agent comprises an imidazole silane compound obtained by the reaction between a formylimidazole compound represented by chemical formula (I) or chemical formula (II), and an aminopropylsilane compound represented by chemical formula (III) (R-Rare H, a C1-20 alkyl group, an allyl group, a benzyl group or an aryl group, and R-Rare a hydroxy group, a C1-3 alkoxy group or a C1-3 alkyl group, excluding the case that all of R-Rare alkyl groups at the same time).
