Abstract:
PURPOSE: A molded article of a polyolefin resin containing a specific amount of a specific fatty acid metal salt is treated with plasma on its surface to remarkably improve its surface properties such as paint applicability or adhesion.
CONSTITUTION: A polyolefin resin such as a propylene block copolymer is combined with 0.01W3pts.wt. of a metal salt of a fatty acid of 8W30 carbon atoms such as calcium stearate, per 100pts.wt. of the resin, when necessary, along with a variety of additives, other polymers and inorganic fillers and made into moldings. Then, they are treated with plasma to effect the surface treatment of the moldins.
USE: Parts for cars, electric appliances for domestic purpose and daily goods.
