PURPOSE: To provide the surface treatment method for a resin molding which lessens the adverse influence on environment to be exerted by a solvent to be used and can sufficiently assure the adhesion of a coating film.
CONSTITUTION: This method consists of a washing stage for washing the surface of a wheel cap M as the resin molding by an brushing treatment using an alcoholic solvent S, such as isopropyl alcohol, a pretreatment stage for applying a corona discharge treatment or primer treatment on the surface of the wheel cap M subjected to the washing treatment in the washing stage and a painting stage for applying a coating material to the surface of the wheel cap M subjected to the corona discharge treatment or primer treatment in the pretreatment stage.
