Abstract:
To provide a surface active agent composition for foam sand which is excellent in rapidly foaming properties of foam sand and improves a strength of a casting mold when the casting mold is manufactured using the foam sand.SOLUTION: A surface active agent composition for foam sand contains 75-95 mass% of a compound (A) of formula (1), 3-25 mass% of a compound (B) of formula (2), and 0.1-1 mass% of saturated and straight-chain monohydric alcohol (C) having 12 to 22 carbon atoms. Formula (1): RO-(EO)-SOM, in formula (1), where Rrepresents a hydrocarbon group having 6 to 22 carbon atoms; EO is an oxyethylene group; n is 1 to 10; and Mis alkali metal, alkaline-earth metal, ammonium or organic ammonium. Formula (2): RO-SOM, where Ris an alkyl group having 6 to 22 carbon atoms; and Mis alkali metal, alkaline-earth metal, ammonium or organic ammonium.SELECTED DRAWING: None
