Abstract:
To provide a surgical robot for tracking and compensating a bone motion.SOLUTION: A surgical robot includes: a robot arm (3); a tool guide (5) of an end effector of an arm; and a tracker attached to the robot arm in the same plane as the tool guide, the tracker including an assembly composed of joint segments (1a to 1d) and an encoder (2) associated with a segment such that a motion of the tracker is allowed and at least six degrees of freedom are monitored. The tracker base and the tool guide share the same frame, that is, they are on the same plane such that an accurate position of the tool guide with respect to a bone to be tracked can be directly determined without using an intermediate device. In this way, an optical tracker and a camera associated with the optical tracker can be made unnecessary.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
