A monitoring camera device 1 includes: a face detecting part 30 for detecting a face area of a person to be captured from an image captured by an imaging part 10; an image quality adjusting part 32 for adjusting image quality in the captured image; an image recording part 24 for recording the captured image whose image quality is adjusted by the image quality adjusting part 32; and a display part 22 for displaying the captured image whose image quality is adjusted by the image quality adjusting part 32. The image quality adjusting part 32 adjusts the image quality of the face area in the captured image so as to be higher than the image quality of an area other than the face area.
