Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent the breaking of thread, by a method wherein winding is suspended in such a manner as to stop the rotation of a friction roller means and a cam roller means in synchronism with each other.

CONSTITUTION: A feed roller, feeding a thread, delivery roller, and a friction roller 10, rotating a winding package, are driven by a single drive motor M1, and a cam roller 3 for traverse guiding, which allows the thread to traverse, is driven by another motor M2. In a take-up motion so constituted, if a power service interruption happens when a cam roller means L3 is driven at a higher rotation speed than that of a friction roller means L4, both roller means are brought into an inertia rotation. But, after the elapse of a given time, an electromagnetic clutch 26 is made ON (T5), the cam roller means L3 rotates through the inertia rotation of the friction roller means L4 serving as a drive source, the thread continues to traverse, and the thread stops traversing simultaneously when the fricdion roller stops (T6).
