PURPOSE: To detect a load with sufficient precision by providing an elastic insulating means in a load passage consisting of a converting part and a hydraulic actuator in a suspension device for vehicle having the hydraulic actuator provided in series to a converter such as load cell.

CONSTITUTION: This suspension device for supporting a wheel 1 by a support arm 2 supported rockably on a vehicle body through a pivot 4 has a double-acting hydraulic actuator 5. The actuator 5 has a cylinder 6 whose upper end part is pivotally supported on the vehicle body by a mounting member 7 and a downward extending piston rod 9 whose tip part is pivotally supported by the support arm 2. A coil spring 11 is interposed between the mounting member 7 and a washer 12 connected to a pivot 10. A load cell 21 is fitted to a recessed part formed at the upper end of the cylinder 6, and a shaft 22 extending from the load cell 21 upward through the inner part of a sleeve 17 is connected to the mounting member 17 through a rubber-made insulating ring 25.
