PURPOSE: To improve steering stability at the time of transient steering with a control start timing quickened and an initial roll at the time of sudden steering reduced by immediately starting roll control when steering angular velocity is a set value or more in the case where acceleration acting on the right and left direction of a body is smaller than a set value.
CONSTITUTION: Each of suspension units FS1, FS2, RS1, and RS2 has mutually similar structure, and an air spring chamber 3 having the function of vehicle height adjusting is provided on the upper part of a shock absorber 1 so as to be coaxial to a piston rod 2. Meantime with a compressor 11, the atmosphere taken in from an air cleaner 12 is compressed to be sent to a high pressure reserve tank 15a, and then is supplied to each suspension unit. Also with a control unit 36, a compressor relay 43 etc. driving the compressor 11 is controlled based on a detection signal from an acceleration senser 39, etc. In this case, when the detection value of acceleration is e.g. larger than a set value, roll control is started at the time of judgment of the turned side of a steered cirection based on a steered direction and an acceleration direction.
