PURPOSE: To provide a vehicle suspension system capable of preventing the vehicle from the occurrence of an excessive rolling condition caused by an abrupt steering operation without degrading the riding confortableness of the vehicle in the stationary turning.
CONSTITUTION: A suspension system is provided with a control means (e) having a damping coefficient control section (d) for outputting a signal to change over a shock absorber (b) to a damping coefficient changing means (a) so as to control the shock absorber (b) to an optimum damping coefficient on the basis of a signal from a vehicle behavior detecting means (c) when the steering speed detected by a steering speed detecting means (c) is less than a predetermined threshold value, and further a roll control section (g) is provided in the control means (e) to output a change-over signal to the damping coefficient changing means (a) so as to alter the damping coefficient of the shock absorber (b) to a rather high one in a predetermined time after the steering speed is reduced less than a predetermined threshold value when the steering speed detected by a steering speed detecting means (f) exceeds the predetermined threshold value.
