PURPOSE: To improve the assembling property in a suspension upper support for automobile by elastically fixing an inner cylinder metal fitting for inserting and fixing a piston rod to an outer cylinder metal fitting on their axial double ends through rubber elastic bodies, forming a fluid chamber between them, and disposing an operating member to a sealed fluid in the fluid chamber.

CONSTITUTION: A first outer cylinder metal fitting 12 is disposed on the outside of an inner cylinder metal fitting 10 for inserting and fixing a piston rod with keeping a determined space, rubber elastic bodies 14, 15 are installed to the respective axial double ends to elastically connect both the metal fittings 10, 12 to each other, and a fluid chamber 38 is formed by both the rubber elastic bodies 14, 15, the inner cylinder metal fitting 10, and the outer cylinder metal fitting 12. A nearly ring-shaped working metal fitting 40 is received and disposed in the fluid chamber 38 to axially form a pair of divided chambers 42, 42 in the fluid chamber 38, and both the divided chambers 42, 42 are allowed to communicate each other through a bottleneck fluid passage 44. A low moving spring effect is exhibited by the resonance effect of a fluid flowing through the bottleneck fluid passage 44 at the time of inputting a vibration of high frequency area such as a road noise.
