Abstract:
To provide anti-corrosion compositions, and methods, compositions, coatings and substrates for preventing corrosion of a substrate, free from hexavalent chromium.SOLUTION: A method for preventing corrosion of a substrate comprises applying a composition to a substrate, and preventing corrosion of a substrate including a substrate surface. The composition comprises an extract derived from a plant genus comprising: Annona, Inga, Mangifera; Taraxacum; Bidens; Plantago; Chamomilla; Solidago; and combinations thereof. The substrate comprises aluminum, aluminum alloys, copper, copper alloys, and combinations thereof.SELECTED DRAWING: None
